In the event of severe inclement weather, graduation events will take place at graduating trainees’ respective Airmen Training Complex (ATC) and/or Recruit Housing & Training (RH&T) Squadron areas, and communication updates will be made on the BMT Facebook page.

Depending on the severity of the inclement weather, an initial decision on whether or not families are authorized at the Squadrons of their graduating trainees will be made no later than 0630 on the day of graduation. This decision will be included in the announcements on the BMT Facebook page.  ***Note: For safety reasons due to inclement weather unpredictability, subsequent decisions to hold graduation events at the graduating Squadrons may be made after 0630. These decisions will be included in the announcements on the BMT Facebook page.

If families are not able to be present in the Squadron for graduation events, once the ceremony is complete and inclement weather has passed, graduates will march to the Pfingston Reception Center to meet their visitors. In the event families are able to be present in the Squadron areas for graduation events,  once the ceremony is complete, and after tapping out their Airman/Guardian, families are required and will be directed to leave the Squadron area promptly. Graduated trainees may transit with family members at that time.  ***Note: The Squadron areas are active training environments, and family’s compliance to leave the area is required for training to fully resume.
